Kungfu New Year Red Envelope Set

Fly by Knight × WenNa – Kung Fu New Year Red Envelope Set

Take Your First Step into the New Year

Not just a red envelope.
It’s an initiation of momentum —
created for those who move first.

This is more than a traditional red envelope —
it’s a ceremonial gesture of intention and action.

Inspired by the ancient martial arts concept of “Wild Horse Breaking Through the Groove”,
Night Horse Breakthrough transforms this principle of decisive movement
into a modern symbol of starting strong in 2026 —
the Year of the Horse.

This limited-edition set, designed in collaboration with artist WenNa,
blends the spirit of martial vigor with vibrant visual storytelling.
Each envelope carries a unique scene, representing strength, direction, and connection.

野馬奔槽

“Wild Horse Breaks Through the Groove”
is not about speed. It’s about purposeful entry
breaking structure, entering the centerline,
and claiming your direction.

We reinterpret it as:

Night Horse Breakthrough —
the step forward chosen by the one who acts.

2026 is a year of ascension and connection.
The guardian spirit of the year, the Kui Dragon,
supports not the hesitant, but those who are ready
to take the first step with resolve.

This red envelope set embodies that principle:
action over passivity, motion over waiting.

Action Intent Ceremonial Set

Wen Na, an artist born in the 1980s, gained fame both domestically and internationally for her imaginative, fairy-themed murals. She describes herself as an "alien on vacation on Earth." Four years ago, Wen Na ended her nomadic life and moved to Quanzhou, where she created a unique art space combining murals and sculptures called “Cang Hai Cuo." In October, a visit to Quanzhou allowed Yitiao to meet this ever-vibrant artist and hear her speak about her carefree, tireless life.

The Story of the “Immortal Sister”

About WenNa

Before I met WenNa in person, I already knew her name.
Her work has been widely featured in documentaries and exhibitions across China — bold compositions, mythological beings, spirits, and guardians that form a universe of their own.

When we finally met, we discovered something amusing:
we were born in the same year and the same month.
We joked about who arrived in this world first. Instead of counting days, I simply claimed the title first and started calling her “my little sister.” From that moment on, the bond was set.

WenNa lives with playful energy — laughing, traveling, sharing meals.
But when she creates, everything changes.
Her focus becomes sharp, precise, and absolute —
like a martial artist stepping onto the training floor.

One evening, she asked me to hold a martial stance so she could draw.
Within moments, the structure, tension, twisting spine, and grounded posture appeared on paper.
She wasn’t just drawing — she was practicing her own form of discipline.

WenNa’s artistic journey spans deserts, mountains, ancient villages, and city walls.
She paints immortals, creatures, and inner worlds —
always remaining true to her vision, never chasing trends.

This collaboration with Fly by Knight is more than a design project.
It is a meeting of philosophies:

Art and martial spirit.
Myth and the living body.
Blessing and action.

This Year of the Horse red envelope set carries more than good wishes —
it carries the intention to take the first step forward.

Artist  Wenna 文那

In 2015, with her first solo exhibition of ceramic sculptures “From Wenna’s Imagination” at Terra Gallery in Delft, she showed us the entities of her characters and her capacity to bring fantasy into real life.

Nowadays Wenna keeps her attention more on unique traditional regional characteristics of different areas in China. She uses her imagination and art style to retell local culture and history. In 2024, Wen Na Jing space projects ‘Canghai Cuo’ and ‘Shuhai Ci’ will be completed. ‘Canghai Cuo’is a fairy story about immigrant culture in Fujian Province and ‘Shuhai Ci’ is about ceramic production culture in Jingdezhen, Jiangxi Province. Both of them combine murals, sculptures, and spaces to tell real and imaginary intertwined histories and stories.
